SDR RADAR TRAFFIC CLASSIFIER

The SDR is a versatile and reliable traffic classifier using an inbuilt microwave (radar) sensor to measure traffic at a one or two lane (opposite direction) road layout. The setup of the self-calibrating SDR and online traffic monitoring can be done on site by the use of a smartphone. Modern on-board GPRS wireless communication enables the user to access the data remotely without being on site. Furthermore the solar power option extends the SDR data collection capabilities to 365 days per year.

EGUARD BLACK SPOT WARNING SYSTEM

The eGuard system will detect all incoming vehicles by the use of it´s integrated radar sensor. If the speed limit (posted or user defined) is exceeded the eGuard will warn the vehicle driver by activating the high power LED-flasher. The eGuard can be deployed at:

ESCAN BLUETOOTH TRAVEL TIME SCANNER

Travel time measurement instead of model-based estimation! Today´s road users need more information to find the answers for the questions:

• When will I have to leave to catch the 7 a/m bus?
• What’s the fastest route to the train station right now?
• Should I drive by car or will public transport take me to the airport faster?

Travel time information will deliver the answers and will improve the quality of traffic management systems and finally the acceptance of these systems by the road user. The eScan bluetooth® scanner is designed to scan, encode, store and transmit bluetooth® addresses and will provide highly accurate journey time samples. This technology directly measures journey time and has the advantage over systems which estimate the journey time by using point based sensors such as loop detectors.

ETUBE BIKE BICYCLE DETECTION SYSTEM

The wireless eTube axle detection system is widely used in applications for bicycle detection. The eTube transmitter (selfpowered pressure sensitive sensor) can be installed in minutes on top of the road surface and will transmit a radio signal to the receiver station every time it is detecting a vehicle axle.

The eTube receiver station (sensor data storage unit) can receive and store sensor data from 15 eTube sensors simultaneously. The long distance wireless communication (up to 60m line of sight) between an eTube sensor and the eTube receiver station will enable the user to design a traffic detection system which can cover a wide area, e.g. a traffic intersection, just with one eTube receiver station. Modern on-board GPRS wireless communication enables the user to access the data remotely without being on site. Furthermore the solar power option extends the eTube data collection capabilities to 365 days per year.

DSD RADAR SPEED DISPLAY

Developed to inform drivers and the community of speed behaviour, DSD is a rugged, lightweight radar activated Speed Indication Display that can be used at temporary or permanent locations. DSD provides a non-confrontational warning to drivers, warning them of their speed via an LED display and putting social pressure on them to decrease speed when required.

Affectionately known as „Smiley SID“ Speed Indication Display, DSD has gained acceptance by its user selectable „Safety Smile“ mode giving a friendly presentation of a serious message, reinforcing safety and educating drivers on site and within our communities.
